Dead by Daylight’s new K-pop killer is undeniably hot – and fans can’t stop thirsting

Dead by Daylight has just added its latest character to its stable of playable killers and he’s… well… hot.

Ji-Woon, or The Trickster as he’s known in the game, is a fictional K-pop idol who became addicted to killing after intentionally letting his bandmates die in a fire, as detailed on the Dead by Daylight site.

Since then he’s developed somewhat of a penchant for murder, weaving the screams of kidnapped victims into his music. Nasty.

The fan reaction to the latest character to join the ranks of the killers has been divided. The online multiplayer game – available on PC and all consoles – is known for including killers from famous horror films like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, and its original killers adhere to a similarly grimy horror aesthetic.

The Trickster, though, looks noticeably more human and attractive, which some fans don’t believe suits the game. But surely that makes him all the more horrifying?

Developer Behaviour Interactive even went the extra mile partnering with idol Kevin Woo, from the K-Pop band U-KISS, and BTS producer DJ Swivel for that authentic K-pop vibe. Clearly a lot of love and attention has gone into crafting this new Dead by Daylight character, as well as new survivor Yun-Jin – Ji-Woon’s producer who gave him his new moniker The Trickster.

Still, fans can’t stop thirsting after The Trickster. And with his open jacket, coiffed purple hair, and that wink it’s not hard to see why.

Some fans even believe the Dead by Daylight character is directly based on K-pop idol Kim Hong Joong, which this thread presents compelling evidence for.

With the Dead by Daylight‘s huge LGBT+ following, especially among the younger generation, it’s clear Behaviour Interactive knew exactly what they were doing adding a sexy K-pop star to their line-up of killers. Let’s just say The Trickster seems to be a big hit.
